My entry for the first round of the 2023 Florida Guitar Festival high school competition held at the FSU College of Music.
My entry for the 2023 URI Guitar Festival high school competition held at the University of Rhode Island.
For my introductory album, I wanted to record a cohesive program that flowed together naturally, rather than simply choose my favorite pieces. With this approach in mind, I have selected works by three significant South American composers. These 20th century masters are truly in a class of their own, having created some of the greatest pieces for the classical guitar. From the Paraguayan music of Barrios to the rhythmical Venezuelan music of Lauro, I strove to retain the energy and rhythm that these great composers embody in their work.
Special thanks for Dr. Jérôme Mouffe who as guided my playing for so many years.
